BETHEL BIBLE KIDS

Have you ever heard a child pray for someone or something?  It can truly touch your heart.  We have been encouraging the children to pray for their own requests out loud this last month.  Seeing them quiet themselves before the Lord and petition on behalf of others is the sweetest thing you could ever hear.  Some are quite timid and shy, asking us to pray for their requests, while others have no fear of leading the group.  Giving your child, or grandchild, a chance to usher you into the presence of the Lord is a wonderful experience for them and you.  The more opportunities they have to pray out loud for others, the more comfortable and fearless they will become.  Isn't this true for us adults as well?  Many adults have the same fears of praying aloud in front of other people.  "I can't pray with someone else in the room that I feel is so much more godly than I" or "What if I mess up or stutter and sound foolish," we may tell ourselves.  We encourage the children to pray like they are talking to their best friend who would be sitting right beside them - after all, isn't HE our best friend?  God doesn't care how eloquently our prayers sound, He just wants to hear our voice.

CHILDREN

Children's Church: Sunday Morning 10:00 AM.
Wednesday Night Classes 7:00 PM.

Wow, it's hard to believe that we are in April already.  In February we started with the new Bible Memory program.  The children have been working on their verses so that they may be able to go to camp in August at Christian Retreat.  It is great to see the children memorizing God's Word. The camp is for the 2nd graders through 5th graders.  The younger ones who say 20 verses will be taken to Chuckie Cheese for a fun-filled day.  Thank you to all the volunteers who are listening to the children say their verses.  Sunday, March 27, after the morning service, we had a Soup, Salad and Potato Bar to help raise funds for the children who say their verses go to camp.
A BIG THANK YOU to all who have brought in your coins to fill the jugs for MCC's Penny Power.  With your help the children were able to meet their first goal and have a donut party to celebrate. The children are now trying to fill the whole jug so that they may have an ice cream party.  Will you help them out?  Thank you!
