BETHEL BIBLE KIDSHave you ever heard a child pray for someone or something? It can truly touch your heart. We have been encouraging the children to pray for their own requests out loud this last month. Seeing them quiet themselves before the Lord and petition on behalf of others is the sweetest thing you could ever hear. Some are quite timid and shy, asking us to pray for their requests, while others have no fear of leading the group. Giving your child, or grandchild, a chance to usher you into the presence of the Lord is a wonderful experience for them and you. The more opportunities they have to pray out loud for others, the more comfortable and fearless they will become. Isn't this true for us adults as well? Many adults have the same fears of praying aloud in front of other people. "I can't pray with someone else in the room that I feel is so much more godly than I" or "What if I mess up or stutter and sound foolish," we may tell ourselves. We encourage the children to pray like they are talking to their best friend who would be sitting right beside them - after all, isn't HE our best friend? God doesn't care how eloquently our prayers sound, He just wants to hear our voice.
