I.    MANY CHRISTIANS ARE FAITHFUL TITHERS BECAUSE OF A DESIRE TO ACKNOWLEDGE GOD’S OWNERSHIP OF ALL THINGS.

1.     When we recognize and acknowledge God’s ownership of all that we have then when we tithe it is not our money we are giving but God’s.   

II.   SOME CHRISTIANS TITHE BECAUSE THEY DESIRE THE BLESSINGS  

      PROMISED TO THE TITHER.

1.      Our capacity to receive Gods’ blessings is determined in a large degree by our willingness to be a giver.

III.  SOME CHRISTIANS TITHE FOR THE PERSONAL SATISFACTION OF HAVING AN INVESTMENT IN THE MOST IMPORTANT ENTERPRISE ON EARTH (Matt. 28:18-20)

1.      Through our tithes and offerings, we have a part in the saving of the lost world beyond the circle of our own personal witnessing.   

IV.  TITHING MAKES THE GROWTH OF PERSONAL FAITH POSSIBLE.

1.      Tithing is an outgrowth of faith and dedication – not a substitute for dedication.  God gets your money not to get you; he gets your money when he gets you!   

2.      The practice of tithing provides God with an opportunity to prove his trustworthiness.   

V.   A FRESH SENSE OF REALITY AND PASSION IN WORSHIP HAS BEEN DISCOVERED BY THOSE WHO TITHE.

1.   One of the most tangible ways to worship and give is by tithing.

2.   Genuine worship is an experience in which we give all that we have to God and at the same time we receive what God has for us.   

VI.  MANY CHRISTIANS TITHE IN ORDER TO PERMIT GOD TO PARTNER WITH THEM IN THEIR ECONOMIC LIVES.

1.      To be genuinely Christian, we must let God into our economic lives and give us guidance as we make, spend, save, and give away money.   

VII. MANY CHRISTIANS TITHE BECAUSE TITHING IS A TANGIBLE WAY IN WHICH THEY CAN PROVE THEIR LOVE FOR THE LORD.

1.      Tithing is putting our money where our mouth is.
